About The Crak Room

Free practice tools for people learning American mahjong, or coming back to it.

Mahjong lessons fill up fast, and the hardest part of the first few games is remembering everything at once: which tile is which, which way to pass, and when a joker can be used. We built short drills for each of those, so you can practise at home before game night.

Everything here is free and works in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There's no account to create. Your scores and streaks are saved only on your own device.

What we don't do

We don't reproduce the National Mah Jongg League card. The hands on the card change every year and belong to the League. Buy your card directly from them each spring. Our tools teach the general rules that apply every year.

We're not affiliated with the National Mah Jongg League.

Coming next

• A directory of mahjong classes, open play and clubs near you
• Mahjong solitaire with a daily board
• Table mats printed with our own painted artwork
